Business Resilience Program Management Strategy


1.      DR Strategies – An overview of defining Standards and the Disaster Recovery Reference Architecture.  Review the influence we have as Security and Disaster Recovery Domain Leads on incoming projects and emerging technologies.
2.      Exercise Strategies – An overview of how to accommodate exercises from Mainframe to Open Systems.  Review exercise strategies for emerging technology solutions and validating third party solutions.
3.      Prioritizing our work – An overview of the work we’ve done in completing a Business Impact Analysis for business units to define critical business functions and the applications that support them.  Included will be an overview of how to prioritize systems in IT Disaster Recovery initiatives with a Business Resilience Program Management strategy.

Aldo Walker has been working in roles including Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, ITIL Service Management and IT Operations management for more than 20 years.  He also has experience in running Mainframe Operations, IT Service Center support, Technical Infrastructure Architecture, and IT Account Management.  His work experience includes Cray Research, Norwest Banks, GMAC-ResCAP, RCIS (a division of Wells Fargo), and MoneyGram.  He has most recently been with Xcel Energy since 2012, where he has recently performed roles as a Disaster Recovery Analyst, Business Continuity Analyst and  Business Resilience Program Manager.
