Chaos Engineering - From Recovery to Resiliency
Presentation will be both non-technical and technical. Focus will be for IT disaster recovery and business continuity areas but all are welcome to come listen and learn about this exciting new discipline! Happy Hour details below!
Chaos Engineering is the discipline of experimenting on a distributed system in order to build confidence in the system’s capability to withstand turbulent conditions in production (https://principlesofchaos.org/).
Chaos Engineering has been around for 10+ years. You may have heard of a Chaos Engineering tool called Chaos Monkey developed by Netflix (https://github.com/Netflix/chaosmonkey). Aspects of Chaos Engineering have been in practice for decades (Tabletop discussions, unplugging cables to force failover, etc.) but the true disciple has been in the technology mainstream for only a few years.
Please join us as Target will be sharing their journey from Recovery to Resiliency using Chaos Engineering and Resiliency Engineering best practices.
